Description

The Shade Shirt is a long-sleeved, loose-fitting top that offers a comfortable, relaxed fit. It features elastic openings at both the neckline and sleeves, with a hemline that sits at hip level. Specifically designed to protect your child's sensitive skin, the high neck covers delicate areas of the body to help reduce sun exposure. The neck opening expands, making it easy for the shirt to slip over the head, ensuring that putting it on and taking it off is simple for parents and empowering for little ones learning to dress themselves.

I created and patterned the Shade Shirt when my daughter was just one year old, with the goal of shielding her skin from direct sun exposure. Thanks to its full coverage, I use less sunscreen on her body, allowing her pores to breathe naturally. Over the years, the Shade Shirt has become an essential garment in her wardrobe & we hope you love it as well!

FABRIC:
This design is intended for light-weight woven fabrics with no stretch. We highly recommend cotton lawn fabric. Natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and silk are all excellent choices, as long as they are light weight. Additionally, confirm that the fabric is soft and non-irritating to the skin.
