Description

The Rowan Skirt is a unique and playful design that’s fun to wear while also giving some thoughtful and functional design details. The gathered side pocket openings are fully adjustable and flow into a flattering a-line silhouette that sits just below the natural waist.

Skill Level: Intermediate sewers

Construction techniques: Adjustable tie pockets, french seams, ties, bar tacks, edge stitching, waist facing, hem facing, overlocking and inserting an invisible zip

Suitable fabrics: Light/mid weight cottons and linens work well, tencels, silks or something heavier such as denims, corduroys or wool suiting

Fabric requirements: Our lay-plans are always done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage.

Materials list: Fabric, 45cm/18” of light weight iron on fusing, invisible zip (minimum 16cm | 6 1/4”), a small hook and eye, safety pin, thread in a colour of your choice
