Pipon Iskotew Greeting Card - Bada Jean

“Pipon Iskotew” means “winter fire” in Nêhiyawewin (Cree language). Throughout the artwork, you see Nêhiyaw syllabics flowing through the fire leading up into the sky. Fire has always been a significant part of our lives, especially living in the prairies. Fire was used for keeping warm and cooking, and is still used today for ceremonies. Fire keeps our spirit warm.
