Pattern Formats:
Paper: Available with printed instructions in the original Merchant and Mills packaging. All paper patterns will include two woven labels, one is to be positioned inside the jacket near the hip and the other is a smaller label for the back neck. The larger label has been designed by @hello.ludio. Lucie’s design features the sun and the moon to represent time and getting lost in the practice of making. These labels are only available in the paper pattern and won’t be sold elsewhere.

PDF Only: This is a PDF file only. Your files will be available to download immediately after your purchase is complete. A physical pattern will not be sent to you.

PDF + Printed: We will print the A0 pattern and send a notification when it is either available for local pickup or has shipped. The PDF version will also be available for download immediately after purchase. Please note we do not print the instructions, just the sewing pattern, so please download the instructions after purchase. This version does not come with woven labels.
About this Pattern
Paynter Jacket Co. make limited edition jackets four times a year that are made to order, so there's no waste from over production. Their jackets are classic pieces that will stand the test of time and get better with age. The Field Jacket is Paynter's first make-your-own jacket pattern in collaboration with Merchant & Mills.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
Size XS-XXL
Skill level; Advanced.
7-12oz denim, wool, cotton twill or canvas. NB. There are 9 layers to sew through during the pocket construction so check the fabric selected to make sure the machine can accommodate it!

You will need:
Matching thread (3 x 100m reels)
13 x 2cm / 3/4” buttons
4 x 1.2-1.5cm / 1/2” buttons
0.8m / 1yd interfacing
10cm / 1/4yd lightweight cotton to line the pocket flaps if using heavy fabric.
