Merchant and Mills September Coat (Paper or PDF Pattern)

Pattern Formats:

• Printed in Envelope: This is a paper pattern and is not available for PDF download once purchased. You will receive a physical package in the mail or you can pick it up from our retail store.
• PDF Only:  This is a PDF file only. Your files will be available to download immediately after your purchase is complete and will also be emailed to you. A physical pattern will not be sent to you.
• PDF + Printed on A0:  We will print the A0 pattern and send a notification when it is either available for local pickup or has shipped. The PDF version will also be available for download immediately after purchase. Please note we do not print the instructions, just the sewing pattern, so please download the instructions after purchase.

Overcoat meets duster. A coat for striding through town and country with purpose.

Choose to make either lined or unlined. The September works for a variety of seasons, in oilskin or wool it can be a proper winter coat, or in linen it feels like a casual throw on.

This is a multi-size pattern available in two size ranges:

• UK 6 – 18
• UK 18-28

Skill level – intermediate.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Suggested fabrics – Dry oilskin, oilskin, mid – heavyweight linens, 7 – 12oz denim, wool corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured coat. For the lining, we’d suggest using Barrier Lining if you are using oilskin. You could also use cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, hemp/cotton, lightweight wools or a traditional slip lining.
