About this Pattern
The Sunrise Skort Sewing Pattern is a modern take on a traditional skort. It features shorts hidden behind either a full wrap skirt with a tie on the side, or a half skirt that covers only the front of the shorts. The shorts have ease in the crotch and hips to help keep you cool on those hot summer days. If you're unfamiliar with the term ease, you can think of it like the space between your body and the garment.
When designing this skort, I knew I wanted it to be an easy going garment that would quickly become a summer staple. I also wanted it to be practical and easy to wear on an everyday basis.
This BEGINNER FRIENDLY sewing pattern is designed to help beginner sewists learn skills to become an intermediate sewist. You will learn how to sew an invisible zipper, how to sew darts, how to sew inseam pockets, and how to sew a facing.
