Description

This is a paper sewing pattern; no PDF will be provided.

The Kidman Jacket is fully lined, featuring curved seamlines that are emphasized with topstitching.
There are inseam pockets within the front panels and your choice of button or snap closures at the centre front.

This sewing pattern is suitable for intermediate sewers and above.

Please note: This is my menswear size chart. But this is a gender neutral style and I’m sure a range of bodies will wear this. So when looking at this size chart, please focus on the chest measurement when choosing your size. If in doubt, check the finished garment measurements below. 

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 5'10.

It’s recommended to make a toile first in an inexpensive fabric to work out any fitting alterations you may need, before cutting into your chosen fabric.

Suggested Fabrics: 

Main Fabric: Mid to heavy weight outerwear fabrics - rigid denim, canvas

Lining - Light to mid weight wovens. 

Ensure your fabric is washed and ironed before cutting.

NOTIONS:

- Standard thread (for the internal seams)

- Topstitching thread or upholstery weight thread (for the topstitching)

- 100cm of interfacing (the weight of interfacing needed depends on your fabric weight. You may only need a lightweight interfacing for heavier duty fabrics such as canvas. 

- x 5 snap fasteners or buttons - 1.5cm to 2cm (3/4in) wide.
