Frocktails Prep: Mondays In February (3, 10, 17, 24)
About Victoria Frocktails
Frocktails events happen all around the world and serve as a social gathering for sewing enthusiasts. We’re excited to announce the very first Victoria Frocktails will be happening March 8, 2025. Learn more and buy your ticket on the Victoria Frocktails website.
During the event, you can expect to enjoy cocktails or mocktails, light snacks, and the opportunity to meet and socialize with other members of the Victoria sewing community. There are some lovely prizes donated by our sponsors that you can enter to win, with all proceeds from the raffle going to a local non-profit organization.
A main draw for the event is that most attendees will be wearing an outfit they made, so we decided to create a series where we can support you in creating the Frocktails outfit of your dreams!
About our Frocktails Prep Series
The purpose of this series is to provide support as you create your outfit for Victoria Frocktails, happening March 8th, 2025. In a group of up to 4 participants, you'll be able to ask questions, get support interpreting instructions and sewing your garment, and use all of our equipment. We'll even let you throw your threads on the floor.
You're welcome to join at any phase of your project; we're happy to help with pattern adjustments, cutting, and sewing. Please note that support on drafting a pattern from scratch is outside the scope of this series, so please have a pattern to use as your base, and we can likely tweak the design if desired.
If you have any questions about your project before joining, feel free to contact us or pop into the shop.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
This policy is effective for purchases made on or after April 8th, 2024.
Our workshops are held in small groups and usually sell out far in advance. It can be very difficult to fill a cancelled spot on short notice. In order to ensure we can continue offering small group sewing workshops, the following cancellation policy applies to all workshop purchases.
We understand people get sick, child care cancels, and other emergencies come up. We ask that you please read this policy before booking a workshop, and understand that we must adhere to it. Please be understanding of our limitations as a small, independently run business, and don't ask us to make an exception to our policy.
If you can provide over 48 hours notice:
If you need to cancel your spot and are able to give over 48 hours' notice, you will receive a digital store credit that can be used for a future workshop, to shop online, or to shop in person. Store credits never expire, and will be issued to the email used to book the workshop.
To cancel, contact us.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the start time:
It is very difficult for us to fill workshop spots on short notice. If you cancel within 48 hours or do not show for the workshop, you are not eligible for a store credit, and you are not able to pick up workshop materials.
If you are able to find someone to take your place in the workshop, contact us and we can try to arrange that they take your place. This is not guaranteed, especially if they require any custom pattern adjustments.
To cancel, contact us.
Arriving Late
If you arrive one hour (60 minutes) or more after the scheduled workshop time, that will be considered a no-show, and you will not be able to join the workshop, receive a store credit, or a refund.
Multi-Day Workshops
Partial refunds are not available for missed sessions or if you can't finish your workshop. If you can't attend workshop dates, contact us and we can arrange for you to finish the project during a co-working session or take it home. If you must schedule a follow-up session because you missed a class, there will be a charge for additional teaching hours.
If you must return because you could not finish your project in the scheduled time and you attended all sessions, there is no charge for the additional teaching time.
Agreeing to this Policy
When you sign up for a workshop, there is a checkbox to acknowledge that you understand and agree to this policy that you are required to select in order to sign up for the workshop. By checking this box and signing up for the workshop, you are agreeing to this policy.
