Intermediate: Fortiv Tulip Dress - March 29 + 30

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

The Tulip Dress has a square neckline, shaped seam lines along the bust, a curved waistline at the front, and a gathered skirt. It features a lace up bodice and elastic ruched sides for adjustability, and of course pockets!

Dress her up for your next wedding invite, or dress her down for a walk around town. Either way, she’ll leave you feeling as cute as you are comfy!

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS WORKSHOP

• Adults (16+)
• Skill Level: Intermediate. Previous sewing experience is required to complete this project in one weekend.

SKILLS YOU'LL LEARN

• How to properly take your measurements and use them to interpret a size chart
  
• Altering patterns: grading between sizes, shortening or lengthening pattern pieces to suit your desired fit.
• Understanding cutting layouts, pattern markings, and grainlines
• Cutting and marking techniques for garment sewing
• Intermediate garment construction techniques including "easing in" to create curves, gathering, seam finishing methods, lining a bodice, and more.
