Beginner: Cozy Crewnecks - Thursdays Oct 12 & 19

ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

Based on the success of our cozy jackets workshop, we're excited to present a beginner-friendly version: cozy crewnecks! In this two-evening workshop, we'll make the Merchant and Mills Sidney Sweater, a non-gendered-fit crewneck sweater. We're using one of our favourite fabrics, the Merchant and Mills cotton jacquard for the main fabric, and matching ribbing around the neckline, sleeves, and hem.

Your ticket to this workshop includes:

• A digital licence for the pattern (emailed after the workshop)
  
• A printed copy of the pattern to take home with you
• Materials to make one Sidney sweater (fabric, ribbing, thread)
• 8 hours of instruction at The Sewing Club including use of all of our machines
• Non-alcoholic refreshments

All fabric, supplies, and equipment are provided. You may bring your own sewing machine if you'd like, but please make sure it's in working order before you arrive, and please bring your own bobbin.

• Adults (16+)

• Skill Level: Super beginner. Zero sewing experience is necessary!

• Working with a pattern (interpreting size charts, grainlines, markings, and more)

• Sewing with knits and thicker fabrics

• Adding ribbing to garments

• Sewing machine basics

• Serger basics

• Various seam finishing options

CHOOSING YOUR SIZE AND FABRIC COLOUR

Please choose a fabric and ribbing colour when you purchase your ticket. Please also enter your chest (fullest part), waist, and hip measurements to help us prepare the patterns. Check out this blog post for some tips on taking your measurements.

ACCESSIBILITY 

While the building and workstations are wheelchair accessible, the washroom is not. There is an accessible washroom in Hollywood park across the street.

We have machines with hand controls (no pedal required). Please let us know in the checkout notes if you require this type of machine so we can ensure it's set up for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY
